The importance of teamwork
TEAMWORK is defined as a cooperative or coordinated effort on the part of a group of people acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause
Have you ever wondered what teamwork can do?
Here's a short clip of teamwork at work. I personally think it's pretty hilarious and cool as it's filled with lots of precision as well as creativity.
Notice that the song was sung by only 2 men and not 6?
The song depicted from the video was the famous Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel. As you know Cannon in D is not known to be sung individually but as a group. But why? Because the quality coming out from an individual is definately not as good compared to a group. For example, among men, there are basses, baritones and tenors, and among women, contraltos, mezzo-sopranos and sopranos. With a good combination of each vocal range, the tune will be enhanced and intesified.
Here's an extracted part of the main score sheet in Cannon in D.

Notice, the first 9 bars of the Canon in D: the violins play a three-voice canon over the ground bass which provides the harmonic structure. Colors are used above to differentiate and highlight the individual canonic entries. Hence, to satisfy that harmonic structure, a team of different voices have to work together to achieve that musical effect and create a lastful impact.
In all, the message of this video is to greatly remind us the importance of teamwork and the fundamental value behind it.
However, there are times whereby teamwork fails and individual work triumphs.

O.o I like the clip!
I think it is a very good clip you've presented to use to support the idea of teamwork.
All in all, I think that communications is a vital tool in communications. There are more than one way that communications can affect teamwork, it can either make you or break you. So it is very important that we use the right way to communicate to others.
Now that's a good clip that talks about teamwork =). Maybe you can show an orchestra video as well? Orchestra too required full teamwork that comes from countless practices and coordination.
Ya, teamwork is definitely important in our social or work life. To make 'teamwork' possible, communication is one essential aspect while leadership and individual cooperation also play an important role.
Cool vid! I agree that teamwork is one of the important aspects in life. Man has always been relying on each other for survival and progress throughout the whole history of time thus no man is a lone island. Teamwork not only allows success to be achieved at a much effecient way but it also allows individuals in the team to learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses improving the quality of the team as a whole.
However a team fails when there's no head to provide directions just like how sailors can get lost without a captain to direct the crew. Therefore an individual with well-equiped skills and knowledge is vital to emerge as a leader to put the team onto the right track to success.
Ultimately, teamwork can only be enhanced when each individual plays his own strengths well in the team under strong leadership. Thus individual efforts do make an important impact to the progess of the team.
This video clip is really interesting and creative!
Basically, it shows the importance of teamwork through a simple humming combination of Canon in D. We need to exercise teamwork everywhere we go. Be it in school, work or playing sports. It will bring us to a further step towards success.
I don't deny that some teamwork fail and some individual work soar. But i believe as long as everyone puts in extra effort/practice in a team, the hardwork will eventually soar to success. =)
Teamwork is a crucial part in everyone's life. It will allow you to do the work efficiently and yet maintaining the quality of work. This explains why would schools introduce project work. It is to allow students to understand the importance of working together as a team so as to allow them to be better working individuals in the society.
I think it's a really great video to remind us how quality of life can be enhanced with teamwork, albeit there are only 2 guys singing it, 3 times each. However, I'd like to point out that both guys have put in the effort to learn each of the 3 sub-songs that he sang. One can only imagine how messed up the song would be if they didn't do so and one of the sub-songs is so horribly sung and spoilt the song. Hence, I prefer to view this video as a reminder of what a strong work ethic can help each of us achieve, be it in a team or as individuals.
